Turkish Wind Energy Sector Meets in Europe

The WindEurope 2024 event, organized by WindEurope and held in Bilbao, Spain, from March 20th to 22nd, with the participation of the İzmir Development Agency, the Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB) and the Energy Industry and Business People’s Association (ENSİA) has commenced.

Speaking at the opening panel of the event, Dr. Çetin Ali Dönmez, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, emphasized that Türkiye has a robust supply chain in the clean energy sector, especially in wind energy, even during the pandemic. He expressed Türkiye’s readiness for collaboration and investment in this field, stating that Türkiye will continue to support the European Green Deal.

During the event, a cooperation protocol aiming at sharing knowledge and experience in regional development, particularly in clean energy and clean technologies, was signed between the İzmir Development Agency and the Basque Trade and Investment Agency.
