21 Mar 2024 Consensus Meeting Held for the International Geothermal Energy Research and Application Center
The coordinated project consensus meeting for the International Geothermal Energy Research and Application Center (IGERAC) planned to be implemented with the support of the İzmir Development Agency, was hosted by İzmir Institute of Technology with the participation of leading representatives from the sector’s prominent institutions.
The International Geothermal Energy Research and Application Center (IGERAC) which will be operationalized, is expected to directly contribute to meeting the needs of Türkiye’s geothermal energy sector by conducting necessary tests and analyses to reduce external dependency, enhancing the production efficiency and capabilities of local companies to compete with their foreign counterparts and transforming İzmir into an international research hub in the field of geothermal energy.
