Izmir’s Organized Industrial and Free Zones Flourish with the Support of Our Agency

As İzmir Development Agency, we have provided support in the amount of TRY 26.5 million to 10 projects at current prices as part of the “Small-Scale Infrastructure Financial Support Program for the Development of Industrial Zones” we have implemented for OIZ and Free Zones in order to improve the industrial infrastructure throughout the region.

Organized Industrial Zones (OIZ) and Free Zones in İzmir comprise a highly significant portion of the industrial investments in our city. The improvement and development of the infrastructural conditions in these regions not only play a critical role in boosting the productivity of businesses, but it also has particular importance in terms of rendering these regions more attractive to investors.

Within the scope of the program, the application of which was completed in 2018;

We contributed to increasing resource efficiency through the Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction projects we supported in İzmir Pancar OIZ, İzmir Kemalpaşa OIZ and Tire OIZ, and the ITOB OIZ Drinking Water Treatment Plant and Water Tank Construction project.

We offered support for the provision of better quality services to the businesses located in said regions through the Energy Infrastructure and Road Construction projects carried out in Bergama Organized Industrial Zone and Bağyurdu Organized Industrial Zone.

We made a significant contribution in making the region more attractive to investments through the Energy Distribution Network Installation and Road Construction project carried out in Menemen Plastic Specialization OIZ, Turkey’s only industrial zone that is specialized in plastics.

We provided support for reducing carbon emissions and making savings in logistics costs by ensuring that the dewatering process, which cannot be achieved by means of chemical and physical drying methods, is carried out using solar energy through the Solar Sludge Drying Plant Construction project in İzmir Free Zone.
