21 Oct 2024 Workshop on Legal Framework Assessment and Development of Policy Recommendations for Industrial Symbiosis Was Held
The first day of the ‘Workshop on the Evaluation of the Legal Framework for Industrial Symbiosis and Development of Policy Recommendations’ organised within the scope of the İzmir Industrial Symbiosis Project carried out by the İzmir Development Agency was held at the İzmir Economic Congress Centre.
On the first day of the workshop, where the existing legal framework on waste and by-products was analysed in order to make industrial symbiosis collaborations easier to implement, problems and improvement suggestions for legislation were put forward with the participation of private sector and university representatives.
It was also announced at the workshop that EcoCyle, the industrial symbiosis software developed by İzmir Development Agency, which facilitates the exchange of resources in a digital environment, will be shared with stakeholders in 2025.
The workshop will continue tomorrow with the second day sessions to be attended by public institutions and organisations.
