SMALL SCALE WIND TURBINE R&D AND DESIGN WORKSHOP WAS HELD

“Small Scale Wind Turbine R&D and Design Workshop” was held in cooperation with Izmir Development Agency, Energy Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (ENSIA) and İzmir Katip Çelebi University (İKÇÜ).

Prior to the workshops, within the scope of the Youth Employment theme determined by the General Directorate of Development Agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Technology for the period of 2022-2023, the Clean Energy Technologies Laboratory (TETLAB), which was established within the University with the contributions of Izmir Development Agency and hosted a large number of training and simulation equipment, was opened. Within the scope of the workshops, small-scale wind turbines designed by engineering faculty students in teams were tested in the wind tunnel within TETLAB. R&D engineers of Siemens-Gamesa, which has Turkey’s only wind turbine R&D Center, made evaluations about the designed turbines.
