22 May 2024 Northern İzmir Spatial Development Perspective Visits Were Held
The Northern İzmir Spatial Development Perspective (KUZİP) study was initiated by the İzmir Development Agency with a focus on the districts of Aliağa, Bergama, Dikili and Kınık to address the northern development axis of İzmir in a comprehensive manner. The study aims to create a holistic policy framework that targets the integrated and healthy development of the region by examining its development dynamics, including population, transportation and logistics, urbanization and housing, workforce, and the use of natural resources.
As part of the study, meetings were held with the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department and the İzmir Governorship Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change officials. The details of the KUZİP study were shared and opinions and suggestions were gathered from the representatives. It is planned to organize workshops to gather opinions from all relevant parties after the ongoing meetings.
